Default Most beautiful town surrounding (w/i 5 miles) Cuyahoga Valley National Park?

My wife and I are moving to Ohio at the end of March. We are having a hard time choosing a town since neither of us have been there before. One thing for sure...we need to be within 30 miles of a big city (Cleveland or Akron).

So we're wondering, what is the most beautiful town surrounding Cuyahoga Valley National Park? We both love scenery and outdoor activites. The closer, the better. We've been looking at some townhomes in Sagamore Hills that are nice. Any other suggestions?

Also, we would prefer not to live in a college town. We're moving away from one right now and somewhat relieved. So Kent I guess would be out of the question.

We appreciate you spending the time to help us out.

Valley View, Hudson, Cuyahoga Falls.

Eaton Estates in Sag Hills is quite nice & about 10 mins from a beautiful trail in the park.

Try along the River Road...at the bottom of the Cuyahoga Valley...I like Boston Mills, but further southwest of the Valley, across from The Summit Mall is Fairlawn where they have quite a few Colonial homes that look cool.
Why Akron? It's sooooo bad there. Don't expect an improvement in the next DECADE, seriously.
Good Luck!

Brecksville or Solon.

The best thing about the Cuyahoga Nat'l Park is that it is only a few miles away from downtown Cleveland, but you don't feel like you are in a big city. It is also part of Cleveland's great metro park system.

I vote for Peninsula and Hudson - Peninsula will put you right within the park, and is a quaint small town that gets a lot of activity over the summer (people visiting the park area, taking the historic train ride, biking to some of the local eateries, etc). ExplorePeninsula - Home

Hudson is also a very quaint town with a little more upscale and established feel to it:

Brecksville is also close but is a little more typically suburban in feel.

We had friends that lived in a Sagamore Hills community that featured several townhome neighborhoods. Very peaceful and had walking trails nearby - if you like the townhome option that would be a good choice.
