3) Where outside of Ohio and why: As a small child I lived in KY, GA, AL, VA, WV and CA. I moved to Ohio when I was 7 years old, so I grew up here.
4) 2nd and 3rd Place Choices: Ohio is my only choice.
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving if you haven't already left?: I have family and good friends here. I have an excellent job and a beautiful home. I have lived and visited many places, but haven't been sufficiently impressed to move anywhere else.
6) Anything else you want to say? I find that my own attitude and the people I surround myself with affect my happiness more than the location I live. I know people who have moved for "better weather", and they aren't happy where they are now. Let's face it, no matter where you are, you deal with weather of some sort. I love all the seasons in Ohio and take each one as they come.

Well, someone has to stay in Ohio. Might as well be someone who enjoys it .......By the way, this is a thread about leaving Ohio, in case you didn't notice

Yes, I'll give you that Cleveland is in a mess right now. Poor leadership; lack of jobs, crime. However, Cleveland is not the entire State of Ohio. As far as Arizona, no way, bugs, heat, problems with illegals. You see it's like the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."

Did I indicate anywhere that Cleveland is the entire state? Or, are you reading more into my answers then there is? Go ahead, you can put down my new state if you wish, to each his own. But since you started it, I'll say that I wouldn't live in Alaska even if you paid me!
I love the AZ heat! You don't have to shovel sunshine.....
AZ Rocks in comparison to OH, and there are many, many ex-Ohioans enjoying living in this state. It is a great change!
As far, as bugs, heat and illegals.......Ohio has it's share of bugs, humid summer heat and the illegals that pass through AZ on their way to points east.

Ok lets not bash Alaska just to make AZ look good . Seriously, I know many from Phoenix who have moved to NE Ohio. Crime, pollution, and the heat, they also mention their water problems. They could only use a certain amount of water or they were charged extra! Like you said, to each their own, a great phrase to go by. AZ my be perfect to you, but Ohio and Alaska are perfect to others.
