Let's see.. I have thankfully had the pleasure of living in almost all the States in the US to include Hawaii, plus several countries thanks to being a prior Army service member and now a Army spouse.
Let me tell you- all the reasons you guys are stating you want to leave Ohio, are the EXACT same reasons why people want to leave the others States I have lived in. It is up to you to make the best of where you live.
Out of all the States and countries I have been to, I am moving BACK to Ohio. Ohio really isn't that bad- remember, the grass is always greener on the other side

TELL IT LIKE IT IS
1) Current or former Ohio location:
Cincinnati Ohio Former Toledoan
2) Why do you want to leave or have left?:
Ready to leave because the economy sucks, very closemined here in Cinti and looking for something to do for singles. *Everyone is not married or looking to get married here*
3) Where outside of Ohio and why:
Los Angeles
4) 2nd and 3rd Place Choices:
Houston, Phoenix
5) What’s currently holding you back from moving if you haven't already left?:
Would like to move to LA but the cost of living is keeping me back for the other two states I will be traveling with friend to visit possibly relocate their in 6months.
6) Anything else you want to say?

If the world was ending today I would stay in Ohio because we still have 20 more years of life left (thats how far behind we are). The weather stucks, people that I know or meet hate to go on vacations...only thing everyone wants to do is eat or throw a party where they eat. After 5pm here in Cinti there is nothing to do. Never met so many uneducated and undereducated people. VERY CLOSEDMINDED to people who are different. JMO

You've had the pleasure of living in almost all of the states including Hawaii? Good, now let the rest of us have our turn. We'll decide for ourselves what we think. I'm glad that you're coming back to Ohio. That's why God created a revolving door, for some to go in while others are going out.

geesh, calm down already. I was just stating that during my travels and living all over this great country, that I have come acorss many people who want to leave their home states for the same reasons people are stating in this thread why they want to leave Ohio. I was never making a decision for anyone here. The more people that leave Ohio the better for me- less wait time at Cedar Point

I certainly wasn't upset when replying to your post. There are some great things about Ohio. Cedar Point and the other theme parks are excellent.

Good luck in Denver, Colorado. I was born there and just moved here 3 months ago from Loveland (about 45 miles N. of Denver). I along with many of my friends and neighbors lost our homes through foreclosures. The housing market is outrageous and corrupt. Hope you know what you're doing.

There is a game to be played with housing. I am very familiar with how it is played and I am doing quite well. Housing in Ohio is no better. Home values are lower but the sub-prime bubble is popping there as well. Foreclosures are at a high is Ohio as well. I hope you enjoy Ohio.
