LOL I'm in Utah (moved for DH's work) , & I miss Ohio! &, I'm a huge sports fan! As is DH. =) Although, he liked Pittsburgh sports. =P At least he is a huge Ohio State fan like me (he's from near Wheeling, WV, so, closer to Pitt, but IN Ohio) , so he shares a hate of 'that state up north'. Anyway, I'm OT'ing. =) All my family is in Ohio, & I miss it alot. Many friends too. All the great parks, & historical sites. Those are my favs. =) There are things I dislike about Ohio, but there are things I dislike out here too. =)

You know, we almost moved to Canal Fulton. But, w/ work in the Kenmore area of Akron, I was afraid there'd be alot of slow drivers on 93 coming north. Cute area, some shopping & food in town, & over Fulton Road, close, but not too close is all the North Canton stuff. =)

I am a divorced mom and navy vet. looking to buy a fixer upper in ohio close to the pa border. I was pretty pumped about some of the good prices I found on houses until I hit this site and all the ohio bashing, Thanks for putting a positive spin on things. I guess i will have to visit each area i am interested in myself since positive feedback seems limited here. Is there another site someone can tell me of where I can get positive or at least non-biased opinions on the small towns and cities in northeast ohio?

Where are you living? Since you seem to like it, I would like to look in your area.

If you are looking for decent small towns near the PA border, why not check out the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman metro??? There are plenty of good prices in some decent to very nice areas. Besides, the cost of living here is the lowest in the nation and we still have a lot going on. Not to mention we are only an hours drive to both Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
Not everyone in Ohio hates it here.
