Most serial killers are white and non-Muslim.
Chicago's murder rate is down about 50% on average since the 1990s, despite some recent years seeing increases. Why does no one talk about that? Or the fact that just about all crime rates have generally been on the decline for 30 years (despite high immigration- including illegal immigration- during that same period)?
None of the countries involved in the ban produced a single person who committed a terrorist act on US soil. Not one.
I'm not sure I really believe that the ban is temporary. The US already had one of the toughest refugee vetting processes of any nation on the planet. If anything, I expect the bans to be expanded, not lifted. The administration is both xenophobic and isolationist, and I expect that they'll continue to act accordingly.

Cleveland's last east side serial killer, in the same neighborhood basically, was a black ex-Marine though.

Still not a Muslim, however.

Yep, but it's not really the pattern. Not that I think race plays any role, just a curious fact. Ohio also seems to have a disproportionate share of them.

And then there is 9/11. I don't think they were raised here, were they?

Crickets.....
They were not from any of those 7 countries...

So you seem to be in favor of taking it to an outright religious test saying this ban wasn't enough? The Constitution and immigration law be damned?

Why does the right wing only care about the constitution and freedom being messy and not free when it talks about bear arms?

Good. Now we'll see what the Trump administration does. Given their behavior to this point, they'll double-down and try something even more extreme... or try to ignore the order altogether, as a sort of Jacksonian "now let them enforce it" kind of reaction.

Default Travel ban impacts elite Ohio State athletes

This is hardly of major importance compared to the life-altering impact of the Trump travel ban on other individuals and the negative impact on Ohio's economy, but it's another example of how Trump's political stunts will isolate the U.S. in coming years.

Everybody except a Federal judge who was appointed by a Republican and a bunch of higher-ups at Homeland Security, apparently.

A new CNN poll says a majority of Americans now oppose the Trump travel ban, and my expectation is that the percentage in opposition will rise as the consequences become better known and as persons learn that immigrant vetting already was immensely thorough and that the ban largely was a political stunt orchestrated by Steve Bannon, the apparent White House puppet master.

<<Overall, 47% say they favor the executive order on travel, which prohibits entry to the US for 90 days by citizens of seven majority-Muslim countries while suspending the US refugee program for 120 days and reducing the total number of refugees the US will accept this year. A majority, 53%, say they oppose the order. Those who favor the ban say by a 2-to-1 margin that they would like to see it expanded to other countries.>>

Steve Bannon Is Making Sure There

Locally, wait for the reaction if the Cleveland Clinic is gutted, an inevitability if Trump destroys the Clinic's international patient flow and if Republican efforts to replace the Affordable Care Act reduces government support for healthcare subsidies. Ditto, if U.S. exporters find themselves as victims of retaliatory bans by foreign nations pushing back against Trump policies.

In Mexico and Latin American, consumers already are boycotting American brands, likely to have a negative impact on Procter & Gamble, headquartered in Cincinnati.

Nah, they took it with grace and responded with eloquence, recognizing the country's system of checks and balances.
