Harry Stevens, an immigrant to Niles from England in 1882 is credited with the development of the baseball scorecard and also was a concessionaire who had trouble selling ice cream and soda pop at chilly Polo Matches in the early 1900s. He also put straws in the soda bottles so the fans could drink without taking their eyes off the action on the field.

Going back to the baseball scoreboard. Doesnt Jacobs Field in Cleveland have the largest scoreboard in the MLB?

paintballer-

my initial reaction was "yeah, it's the Jacob's field"... but then i started to wonder & found this quote from the Indians' website:

"With the construction of the Daktronics Scoreboard at Jacobs Field, Indians fans can watch live video and replays on the world's largest baseball video screen, measuring approximately 36 feet high by 149 feet wide."

congrats on the king of hotdogs, Harry Mozely Stevens!
