Does anyone know which city in the state (was actually the first in the nation) to link its rapid transit from the airport right to downtown?

Good guess htlong. According to the Greater Cleveland RTA website, "RTA's Red Line was the first rapid transit service to an International Airport in North America. On Friday, November 15, 1968, direct rapid transit service began from downtown to the Cleveland airport."

Oh it was North America, didn't know that, just thought it was a national level. Thanks for a better insight on that.

I assume you are asking for the first such street. According to Today In Science History "In September 1948, 6,217 feet of Exchange Street in Akron, Ohio, became America's first "Rubber Road" when construction workers resurfaced the brick street with a hot, pungent mixture of asphalt with rubber additive."
Now, while we are on firsts - Which Ohio city is credited with being the home of the first artificial fish bait (lures)?
