Boardman Ohio
My husband has taken a job in New Castle PA. He will be commuting from Bloomfield Hills MI. Only coming home on the weekend. We are looking for a place for him to live during the week. Can anyone give us a opinion? We are looking at Boardman Ohio, Austintown Ohio and Canfield Ohio. We would really like to find a condo or flat for him so that he a do a little gardening as he loves it so much. HELP! he needs to find a place soon.

Austintown would be my last choice just because of the distance from New Castle. Canfield would be a lot more expensive. Boardman should have the most choices. Check out Lowellville too. They might have a small house for the same price as a condo, and it would be a lot closer to New Castle.

I can't help you out with specific places, but I'd second what South Range said. The closest place to New Castle would be Poland, OH, but like Canfield, it will be more expensive. Second choice would be Boardman. Canfield would be a longer commute to New Castle since he'd have to travel through Boardman. You might also look into Hubbard, OH. I don't think the commute would be too long from there...

I have to agree that Boardman, Poland, and Canfield are all much nicer than New Castle, but why not live in New Castle? I have only been there once. Doesn't New Castle have any nice areas?

Boardman does offer a lot of entertainment, and some great areas to live in.

I know Hubbard, OH is always building new condos. It would be a great place to check out.
Also, I'm sure you can find a nice place right in New Castle or close by. It would save a lot of commuting time.

If you're thinking about buying a house in Boardman, make sure it is south of 224. There is an influx of people to the northern end of Boardman who tore up the south side. They are well on their way to turning north Boardman into what they are leaving behind in the city.
