I have a question for berkins1014...Do you have any proof that Barnes and Noble, and Target are coming? I have heard that for years...and everyone knows somebody that knows somebody that knows for sure it will happen. A starbucks did open but its in the hospital! Luckily I'm a nurse and I am there anyways or I probably wouldn't park and walk all the way into the hospital to get coffee. Unless there is another one in plans that I don't know about. Panera is opening soon... the 21st of this month yay! I'm not trying to be confrontational with the whole proof thing but seriously I want to know.

JohnZ,
I was born in Lima, and I lived there for 30 years. I would NOT suggest moving to Lima unless you like living in a high crime area. Check out the Lima news website at limanews.com Just a couple of days ago, someone died of a drive by shooting.
I would strongly suggest you move to either the Shawnee area, or Wapakoneta. My husband and I moved to Wapakoneta about 6 years ago. It has around 10,000 people and a quite lovely little town. There is a country club for golfing, a YMCA and a brand new aquatic faciility being built now that is due to open this summer. We have several parks and a historic downtown. The only movie theatre in town is the old opera house I believe, but it only costs 3 dollars for admission (Just don't sit behind the poles) LOL The average housing cost here is 86,000 in town, but you can find a wonderful house for the price range you are looking at. If you like, you could even find a nice home in the coutry with some acreage. It is only 15 minutes away from the Shawnee area on County Rd. 25A.
Depending on where you want to go, most people I know fly out of Columbus. That is about an hour and a half away.

Here are a couple of links about the Wapakoneta area.
