Default Beavercreek

I may be moving to Beavercreek. Is the high school there good with friendly people? And is the town a friendly place to live anyway? Safe?

Any other info would be good.

Thanks =]

Extremely safe.

Not culturally diverse enough for me (but most suburbs around the Dayton area aren't, so I'm pretty much used to it) which may or may not be a problem for you.

Also, it's beautiful there!

Having lived in Beavercreek for 18 years, I have found it to be very friendly. The high school (from which I will soon be graduating) is wonderful yet somewhat overcrowded. Are there cliques like any other high school, sure, but there are so many activities in which your son or daughter can become involved. That's where they'll find the friendships that last. While the genreal courses are ok, I highly recommend challenging oneself with the scholarship and Honors/AP courses at the school. That's generally where the best kids are. If you do move to Beavercreek, I hope you will find it to be an enjoyable experiece.

Beavercreek is about as safe as you can get. There's the occasional vandal, but the police force does well to curb any petty crime. Most crime is theft from the malls anyways.

The high school is rated excellent by Ohio's Report Card system. Having been there, I'd say it is pretty friendly. Are their cliques? Sure, but it is such a large high school (5th in the state) that most kids find a group that fits them. I recommend going out for extracurriculars and honors classes.

Here's the city's website.
