"The Cincinnati metropolitan area, informally known as Greater Cincinnati or the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State Area, is a metropolitan area that includes counties in the U.S. states of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana around the Ohio city of Cincinnati. The United States Census Bureau's formal name for the area is the Cincinnati–Middletown, OH–KY–IN Metropolitan Statistical Area."

Middletown is very much a part of the Cincinnati Metropolitan area...the two cities have even been listed as ine metro as the post above highlights.

Cincinnati State even opened a branch in downtown Middletown. Heck there is even an iconic mural of Pete Rose at the West Middletown drive-through on the Miami River facing downtown Middletown.

I think this should be moved back to the Cincinnati forum.

Meh, Middletown still kind of exists in that nebulous no-mans land between Cincinnati and Dayton. I personally consider anything north of exit 29 (aka the beginning of the Aviation Heritage Area) as part of the Dayton metro, since you have the "Cincinnati" Outlets south of OH-63 and "Miami Valley" Gaming on the north side of OH-63. But honestly it's just semantics. At any rate, I'm personally very excited to see how much Middletown has been coming along.

True regarding semantics. My Mom grew up in Middletown in the 50s and told me her family would go to both downtown cincy and dayton for various things.

But it still is considered metro Cincy.

I want to visit Figleaf brewery, and have they started construction of the new "sports entertainment" facility.

Middletown High School is part of the GMC, so that makes them a Cincy based school IMO.

I lived and worked in Miami Township just a little north of there for a little while. I've heard the phrase "Middletucky" from the mouths of more than one local. Been through there a couple towns and it's just a blue collar place with a steel mill, that at least is still open and employing people. Could be a lot worse.
