Houses for rent near Independence (Cleveland, Parma: real estate, rentals, crime)

Hello~
My husband and I are relocating to Ohio for a few years and we are looking to rent a house in Independence, Parma, Parma Heights, Broadview Heights, North Royalton or Brecksville for $1000 or less. I have been searching the internet but I have not had a lot of luck. We will be flying out to Ohio on the 14th to look for a place and I was wondering if anyone could give me some info on where I could look or who I can call.

Hi, I'm from this area. The only big paper we have is the Plaindealer. Try plaindealer dot com and there is a realestate tab in the classified section. Then select rentals. You can try there. Also, just about every realestate company I am sure is handling rentals. We have Howard Hanna real estate here as well as Realty One, Century 21 (don't see much of them anymore), etc. But HH and RO are the two biggest in the area. Independence, North Royalton, Strongsville,Brecksville, are all great. If you go further out a bit there is Medina and Brunswick and there for sure you can get a home to rent for $1,000 a month. (safe, more rural,etc)

They have a little paper the Medina Gazette. It's about 35 min to Cleveland from Brunswick and 45 from Medina.

I would personally stay away from Parma and Parma Heights and even Broadview Heights. It's just a preference thing but there is more crime in those areas, older, etc.
