Default Moving to Oberlin from Chicago

My son will be attending Oberlin College this fall. Being a single mom, I would like to move to Oberlin for four years. Is Oberlin a safe place for me to rent a house or an apartment?

Just making sure you are aware that Oberlin is very very "progressive".

15 years ago I read Oberlin College had a larger Socialist Club than Republican Club. If your kid can toe the progressive line he will absolutely love it there.

Yes Oberlin is safe.
