Default Anyone Remember "Blue Hole" in Castalia?

I recall going to Blue Hole in Castalia when I was about ten years old. Anyone else remember this little natural attraction?

My parents took us there on our trip from to the Henry Ford Museum in MI. I wonder what ever happened to it??? I always heard that it was contaminated and closed down.

Blue Hole of Castalia

Here is a link about the Blue Hole. We stopped there for picnics several times when I was young.

Seriously I do. When I was young we used to go there all the time. My grandma took me. She had friends in Castalia. I was so scared whenever I went.

LOL..of course. And later hey kept bees on property and had great honey for sale.

It was sold to the state and is now off limits....but it's part of a fish hatchery....though the water in the 'blue hole' itself can not support fish!

It's also not bottomless...just looks that way.

I just spoke about blue hole when i was back in ohio visiting a few weeks ago !! As a child; probably grade school age, i remember my father taking us there a few times.
I do not remember alot about it...other than it was a big thing back then !!
