I dont live in Lima, but have been several times. From what I remember its a somewhat run down town ( as many are in Ohio )........many dive bars and nothing in the area of culture, arts ect,.... its more in the nature of a farm type community. I have no idea about the gay community...but I would assume it wouldnt be much. I would imagine you would be happier in Columbus as its quite progressive, with a nice art/cultural scene and more diverse population.
Good luck

I am not gay so I am definetly not an expert but I do know there is one bar called Somewhere in Time. I went there for a few shows but it is pretty small and not all that exciting. Most of my gay friends go to Dayton or Columbus to go out. I'm younger so a lot of my friends are very accepting of people being gay but I would worry a little about the older people in the community. Obviously everyone is different and I don't want group everyone as young=accepting and old= not. I personally can't wait to get out of Lima and I would encourage you to check Columbus out.

Ohio Northern University in Ada Ohio is around 20 miles from Lima, and there are some gay's going to colledge here, I live amongst college students in a apartment comples in Ada. What race are you? I am not gay, but I am open minded about gays. Lima, is not a friendly town toward openly gay people, as I have lived around Lima all my life. I am a retired corrections officer for the state of Ohio and have been around a lot of gays in my profession, I always treated them like other people. You can contact me at twit46@roadrunner.com if you have any more questions!
