Booze
Hello everyone. I am getting married in Tennessee this Oct. and am driving down from Michigan. Being that I am driving through Ohio, I thought that I would purchase the liquor for the reception in my neighboring state. I was told that pricing could be different depending on the county. Can anyone offer me any information regarding the best place, city to buy liquor down I-75? These cities/towns include:
Toledo Sidney
Perrysburg Piqua
Bowling Green Dayton
Portage Middletown
North Baltimore Monroe
Findlay Maud
Beaverdam Fairfield
Lima Reading
Fort Shawnee Brentwood
Anna Cincinnati
We will need to purchase several fifths (or roughly 750ml) of the following; Grey Goose Vodka, Jack Daniels Whiskey, Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum, and some kind of single malt scotch. We are on a pretty tight budget and were hoping to get a good price. Any suggestions? Please help!

If you come down to Cincinnati, just cross the river into Newport, Kentucky and you will spend much less money. There is a place called The Party Source right off the exit ramp and they will have anything you could possibly need. It's pretty much a giant supermarket for liquor, spirits and party favors. Google it.

The Beverage Barn (State Liquor Store) in Findlay's on the opposite side of town (Tiffin Ave.) You'd be driving out of your way to get there. The closest places near I-75 are either grocery stores or restaurants, and the grocery stores only sell that watered down 40 proof junk.

What Husker Du said. Go to the Party Source off I-471 in Bellevue, Ky. If they don't have it, you don't need it.

Thank you everyone for all of your help. Do you have any idea what the cost is for a fifth of grey goose vodka is at the party source?

You might be able to e-mail the store through the website. Good luck!

I lived in Ohio for 18 years, and never bought liquor in Ohio - because - I worked in downtown Cincinnati - just across from Party Source. We now live in Tennessee and STILL buy most of our liquor there on visits to the area. One key thing - KY charges no sales tax on liquor, Tennessee charges 9 1/2%.

I did not know that. Does Ohio charge a sales tax?
