Hi,
Does anyone know if there are photos on the internet from the 1940's of the former Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Youngstown, Ohio? (it is now Immaculate Conception Sacred Heart of Jesus.) Or perhaps some forum members here might have already posted some?
Thank you, from a "Newbie" to this Forum.

I've never seen anything like that on this site. You might want to try here: The Mahoning Valley Historical Society - The Best Source for Local History

Oh, that's lovely! I wonder if it was preserved/looked this way in the 1940's. Thank you so very much for the photo

This is wonderful! My parents were married there in 1947, just after Christmas, and I see this photo includes a full creche/nativity scene I wonder, is this your own family photo by chance? It's lovely to see how the interior might have looked around that time. I'm guessing this is somewhere in the 1940's but can't be certain....I am very grateful to everyone here for their replies and photos.

Here's a link to a set of 14 photos of the church today. It doesn't look like much has changed.

This picture was taken out the Centennial Anniversary memory booklet from Dec 8, 1982. The booklet was left to me from my late grandmother. According to the booklet it was the wedding of Jim and Connie Korda. Year unknown. I tried to scan it for a clearer picture but to no avail!

Does anyone know what has become of the former High Altar and 2 side Altars since the parish has closed down? Please tell me they have been preserved into another church.
