Berea is a college town that is home to Baldwin Wallace college, they are well known for their music program. The cost of living is average to low average for being a suburb of a large city. Home prices range from less than $50,000 to $500,000 depending on the area.

Some of the most beautiful parts of the Cleveland Metroparks run through Berea with a couple of nice lakes for fishing and swimming, and the town is very convenient to Cleveland Hopkins Airport and major freeways. Being that it is a college town there are more cultural activities available than in most west side suburbs of Cleveland, and the population is also more diverse.

I would say that all in all it is a nice affordable community although it is an aging suburb, but I think that lends character. Hope this helps a little.
