Ashville ohio is a great place to live, they recently raised taxes to bank some cash for future worries of inflation. (The previous tax rate was sustaining the city and would for a few more years). But other than that, the district is top notch, known well for producing high GPA graduates and a very friendly atmosphere. The crime is not high, about the most common offenses are speeding with the occasional vandlism. But considerably less than the surrounding cities.

I've only been here 2 years and am having mixed feelings about it. Neighborhoods are nice and clean, well patroled by the police. Schools are good. My biggest complaint is I had no idea how many trains went through the town. Wouldnt be such a problem if they didnt blow the whistle 6-15 times every time they come through. In addition, I would suggest not buying in a housing plan close to Doughboys Pizza. Their near monthly summertime concerts are so loud I can hear them in the house with the windows closed. No way to enjoy the yard when they are "entertaining" for the whole neighborhood.
