Default I wouldn't live anywhere near Stratton

That power plant burns coal, it is the eastern coals high in sulfur. I wouldn't live anywhere in that River Basin in that area, that includes Stuebenville, Weirton, Toronto, etc, a bunch of coal power plants in that area, some are old ones with short stacks. Some days can be quite bad.

There is not much in Stratton the town itself, sort of a wide spot in the road.

Not only goes it stink but will not be very good for your health.

Would still work there because it is probably a good paying job. Would plan on living bit out from there. Would have to look at the map, in general I would tend to get up in the hills back into Jefferson County. Like over toward Richmond, there are back roads, generally trying to use Route 7 is the long way.

The other thing to know that is a fog area, so that can have an effect on a commute for a good part of the year. Getting up in the hills also gets you above most of the fog, plus gets you well away from any potential flooding problems.
