Default NewEng'der w/job in Covington - where to live?

Hi - I'm from MA and my job is relocating to Covington. What are the nice upscale communities in the CIN/NoKY area for mid-to-upper middle class professionals?

In Ohio you may want to check out Anderson, Hyde Park and Wyoming. Madeira and Indian Hill are also nice, although further away from the area where you will be working.

In Kentucky, look at Highland Heights and Fort Thomas.

You may want to post on the Cincinnati thread, as you would probably get more responses.

Interesting handle...a person from a GD song?

For Ohio, if you want to live in the city, nice older city neighborhoods, for Cincinnati, Hyde Park, Mount Lookout, Observatory, Tusculum, Grandin Road. Further out there is, as was said, Wyoming, the older part of Glendale, and Indian Hill. I'd also look at Terrace Park and Mariemont..they are next to Indian Hill.

All these are older homes. If you want a brand new house, I am not sure about Northern KY, but you will have a long commute to Covington from the Cincy suburbs, and it is a rough one.

My recommendation is to find a nice older home on the East Side of Cincinnati in one of the areas I mentioned, and avoid the commuting hassle as you would be closer to work in Covington.

The Northern Kentucky places mentioned are nice too.

I would just stay in Covington. It is a beautiful dense and vibrant city with a low crime rate.
