Just so y'all know, I asked to resign as a moderator. I asked markablue if I could resign for a while in order to take a break and she agreed, I had been moderating the Religion and Philosophy Forum and the two subforums that went with it for the past six months and I can tell you it really takes a toll on you after a while so I needed to get away from it, they had no complaints about the way I was moderating or any such thing, I just needed a break, basically so that I could be myself, maybe later on I'll request to be a moderator again but that's a little ways down the road yet.

I never figured they'd have any complaints about your moderating. It's just as I thought, you needed a break. I've noted alot of the mods do take breaks away and I can sure understand.

Hey redbird,I was born south of the Mason Dixon line, so I'm a good old Southern boy and although I live in southeastern Ohio, I still live south of the Mason Dixon line,if you take that Mason-Dixon linean extended straight across through West Virginia and Ohio,I still live south of that Mason-Dixon,now EarthBound is north of the Mason Dixon line,so we still call him a Yankee....

I like OK. very much. I didn't realize how much I missed the 4 seasons until I came back here.
The only thing I miss in So Cal is the mountains.

Ah you are a friend of Debey; so am I. She is great!! Been reading some of that link as I have time; very interesting.
I absolutely love mountains and I love being near the water (although not near the water here). I would love to live on the coast of Maine...maybe someday.

You need to take a little visit to southeastern Ohio, I guarantee you the Confederacy is alive and well in southeast Ohio and you have no idea how surprised I was about that.... .....I have seen more Confederate battle flags flying on poles here in southeastern Ohio than I did in Virginia.

I am glad to hear the Confederacy is alive and well in S.E. Ohio; it should be. See, that's the southern part of me talking. . I love the South but I can't take that heat and humidity they get there. My dad was born and raised in Tenn. and my mom in Wheeling, West Va.
Still have relatives down in Morristown, TN. and Wheeling also who are living. I remember one year being in Tenn. and the humidity was so thick and there was no air stirring at all; gawd it was awful.

Ok, lets get one thing strait around here when it come to the term "Yankee" and being like Michigan .
My Ma was born in Ohio, but Pop was born in Kentucky. So that makes me a "Buckbilly."
And we never allow anyone to associate us here in the Buckeye as, "Being like Michigan", them be fight'n word, freind. We ain't noth'n like those M.I.B's, thats means "Michigan In Breeds" or as we also puy it, UPR's "Upper Peninsula Retards".
