My in-laws live in Findlay Ohio, known as "Flag City" for their flag-waving pride. Findlay Ohio Business Directory ImaMichigander is correct about the oil baron homes- stately mansions just south of the court house on Main St, or St Rte 68, in Findlay- to die for.

Maumee is a picturesque community, and you can find quite a few other small towns in the NW Ohio area with beautiful old homes. With your budget, you can have almost any home you want- Ohio is extremely affordable for real estate. Perrysburg, Bowling Green might be worth a look as well.
