News, Ohio police find goat on state highway.
AKRON, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio police department picked up an unusual item for the lost-and-found: a goat. Akron police discovered a male goat on a state highway early Friday after people called to report what they thought was a small pony in the road.

Yep, happened in my home town.
The goat was charged with being on a highway and traveling less than the minimum speed.
It got an equipment citation for no working horns.
It was charged with littering when it took a poop in the medium.
It got a felony charge for resisting arrest when it looked at the cop cross eyed and said the cop was baaaaaaaaad.
They put it in a paddy wagon and hauled its butt off to jail.
Then it got another citation for destroying evidence when it ate the paperwork.
I hear it is going to get a 5 year sentence and the punishment will be to give goat milk to a local charity to make goat milk fudge.
The goat is appealing the sentence claiming that it is a male and cannot give milk.
The case may end up in the Supreme Court.
Seriously, I'm glad the animal didn't get hurt and is safe.
The local cops got a break from just chasing bad guys and seemed to enjoy helping save an animal from harm.

I have this mental picture of the Akron PD chasing this goat all over the road to the tune of "Yakkity Sax" by Boots Randolph. That's comedy!

Hell, that's a weekly occurrence out here in Noble County,Ohio, if it's not a goat, it's a cow or a horse or even deer and wild turkeys and we even had some monkeys get loose once out here about a couple years ago.....
