Default Moving to Findlay for the Summer

I live in Bowling Green, Kentucky and I'm about to move to Findlay, Ohio for the summer for an internship. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on apartments or any advice about parts of town to stay away from??
Thank you for any help!

Default Greetings From Findlay

How do?

There are no parts of town to stay away from--as far as being more dangerous than others.

I would suggest staying away from Cooper's plant on the southwest side of town - the wind blows out of the SW and things can get a bit dusty if you are living in the plum.

In the summer you may be able to find a house or apt to rent near the university - especially since most of the students will be vacating those places for the summer months. You might also check with the university's housing office (not sure of the offical title of the office). You might find a sublet or connect with other folks who are staying in town for the summer--just a thought.

On last bit of advice...
Because this is a college town, I would suggest calling more than one rental agency. The rules and requirements (and especially the price) vary greatly when comparing rental companies. Plus you might be able to play one off of the other.

Good Luck & Enjoy.
This is a nice, quiet place to spend a summer.
Eppa.

I agree with Eppa. There really isn't much in the way of bad streets in town. The Clinton Ct./N. Cory St./Washington St. area down by the river's a bit run down, but you're not taking you life in your hands.

True enough about Cooper Tire & Rubber, too. That's on the intersecton of Lima and Western. It gets pretty strong in the dog days of August.

Enjoy your stay!
