Is race a problem out there? I told someone I was considering moving to Warren and they thought I was crazy. They said it is all African-American. I am portuguese, married to a hispanic. Will I have problems in Warren?

^^^ I dont think so. It does have a large african american population but there isnt a race problem. The hispanic population is growing too. But overall Warren is a nice city.

dawnie warren is about 65% white and there is no race problem. all warrens outlying areas such as howland, champion and cortland are predominately white.on the other hand youngstown has a predominately black population with a good sized hispanic population on its east side.

Do you live in the area? I have two kids that will go to Warren City Schools, one is in the 3rd grade, the other in 6th. I'm trying to figure out what schools they will attend. I tried contacting the Board of Education, but I haven't received a response.

i live about 45 minutes from warren in western pa. i have friends in warren so i know the city and schools well. the third grader would go to mcguffey or emerson on the NW side.the 6th grade would be in middle school at turner by packard park a city park or western reserve which is huge as it used to be a high school.
