Cuyahoga County votes HEAVY democrat...what good has voting democrat done for this county/city? Job losses? People leaving the county? People leaving our state? Crime and decay? Last time I checked these were BAD things, not good. No one wants to move to Ohio anymore. Our young generation won't say "Mommy/daddy, I want to move to Cleveland..or Columbus..or Cincinnati" they'll say "I want to move to Texas..or California...The Music City" somewhere I can make a lot of money, achieve my dreams, and be successful.

i agree with this one.

Hey, maybe when Obama gets elected we can add a "1" to that 11,000 already lost, because someone like Joe the Plumber won't get to start a new job. I can just see it...
Coming soon - Ohio: moving forward 2009 plan. Moving forward with higher unemployment, more dirtier crime ridden cities, and more mass amounts of people leaving our state.
Where did all those 11,000+ jobs go? I feel bad for those people that lost them.

There are plenty of blue states that are doing well. California has a huge economy.........if it was it's own country it would be something like 8th in the world!

I was born raised in Ohio, lived there for many years and did just fine.
Now live in Michigan, still doing all right.
Seems like you don't really care about the economy, you just want to whine about how more people are voting democrat.

It has to do with the reasons people are voting Democratic - first and foremost because he not a Republican (they are evil ); because of race (many more are voting for him just because he IS black rather than NOT ); mainstream media (admit it - they are so biased it's a joke). The masses will vote for however they think is going to win).
I could name a myriad of other reasons, including the overall economy.
This is unfortunately the way people today think - and the way they vote.
For the wrong, uneducated reasons. For what they think a politician can do to help them with a handout for the bad decisions they continue to make in life. Sad but true.

Just moved here from out of state. Personally, happy that Ohio is turning blue-er - as the narrow mindedness I have encountered from many of the reds here has made me wonder if relocating to this state was such a good idea.
I hope we end up a nice purple in the end, with rabid red and bonzai blue all agreeing to be TOLERANT of one another. Unforutnately, a number of posts in this thread make me doubt that will ever happen, but still... hope springs eternal.
C'mon blue!! Lets turn OHIO a nice shade of PURPLE!!!

Sorry, blame Bush all you want, it's not his fault for OHIO's problems. Why is Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas just to name a few doing fine? Oh wait - Bush must like those states, but he hates Ohio, right?

Honestly, it cannot help our odds as a great lakes state if we have a southerner in office. He doesn't care about us.

Ohio is in the crapper, we are the next Michigan.

Our economy is tied to our other more industrial neighbors. As Michigan goes is how we go.

Tell me, where's our governor when 11,000 jobs being lost. Where's our governor when GM, Chrysler plants are getting shut down.

Good arguement, but the American automakers have no interest in keeping union plants open. I don't know if these same rules apply to the american automakers, but one of their suppliers, Johnston Controls, is closing a large union plant in Cadiz, Kentucky, in favor of maintaining operations in a non-union plant near Sweetwater, Tennessee. So, honestly the automaker's only goal is to get rid of the union.

Everyone here complains about the gloomy grey skies here, if this state started to use it's head we'd be living in sunshine. But that won't happen. This state is on a rollercoaster ride down that's going to last ages. I don't see it getting better in my lifetime.
|
I hope not.

I see. You probably think he hates Black people too, just like that clown Kayne West? You are wrong, Ohio's problems is Ohio's problem. Not Bush's. If Ohio CARED about it's problem, where's our governor when 11,000+ jobs are lost, and GM and Chrysler plants are getting shut down? He's trying to push for taxing groceries while men and woman are losing jobs. How pathetic. If you ask me, our president is our governor. He's the one that runs out state. Our governor, and mayors of our dirty rotten cities have failed.
