Default Convince me to come to Oxford!!!

Hello,
I am looking at a job at Miami University in the division of Student Affairs. It is the perfect job for me, I think, but as of yet I haven't gotten too excited about the thought of moving to Oxford, Ohio. See, I'm a western boy and my experience with the midwest is limited, so I know nothing about Ohio, let alone Oxford. I'm pretty open - tell me what is great about living in/around Oxford ... maybe that will get me excited!

Thanks so much!

if the job really were perfect you wouldn't care where it is.
if you need to get excited to do something it likely isn't your thing.

I wasn't looking for an answer like that, but thanks for your input, I guess. The question was: Tell me what is great about living in/around Oxford.

It's often hard to find people who like to say nice things about where they live around here.

I'd help you out, but I don't know the first thing about Oxford.

Oxford is a quaint little college town in the middle of farm land. The campus, the town and the surrounding area is very attractive. It's close to a very nice and rather large state park, Hueston Woods, which offers a great deal of outdoor recreational opportunities.

It has fairly easy access to Cincinnati, although it would be a considerable drive. I would think it would be better for a family guy. Considering you are working for the college, you probably won't be partying with the frat boys, so your entertainment options in town may be a bit limited.

The school itself is outstanding.

I no longer live in Ohio, but if I were to move back, I could definitely be happy calling Oxford home for my family.
