I worked in Tiffin for the last 5 years until a few months ago when I and my family relocated to Arizona.

Tiffin is a decaying town and there is absolutely NOTHING to do within it's confines. Fortuneatly, you are not to far from better places where there ARE things to do. Port Clinton, Marblehead, The Islands, Sandusky, Huron & Vermilion are all less than an hour away and are fun in the summertime. Bowling Green has alot going on year round, but particularly when school is in. Also Columbus is only an hour and half away and there is alot to do there.

The business outlook in Tiffin is gloomy. Many of it's main employers have fled the area (American Standard) or are teetering on the brink (Ameriwood.) Alot of the smaller companies (including the one I worked for) are struggling for survival and in my case being mis-managed into the ground.

There are attractive areas of Tiffin, particularly around the campuses of Tiffin University and Heidelberg, but a little driving around town will show you plenty of blight. The courthouse downtown is literally crumbling into dust.

Driving into work became increasingly more depressing over the past few years in large part due to the reasons I have described above. I wish anyone well who has or is moving there. Maybe you can make more of it than I did. That said, I've embarked on a whole new life here in the land of constant sun, and my spirits have risen 110 percent since I've arrived here.
