Which of the three would you consider to be the most socially liberal?
Which has the brightest future?
Most things to do for kids?
Adults?
Most/least diverse?
Best bookstores?
Differences in the weather?

Other thoughts?
Brightest future? Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Columbus
Most things for kids? Cincy, Cleveland, and Columbus. Giving the edge to the first two because they have major amusement parks in their area.
Adults? Cleveland, Cincy, Columbus

In general, I like Cincinnati the best, followed by Cleveland, and then Columbus. Cincy has the best geography out of the three. Some pretty big hills. Cleveland is not as hilly, but holds its own. Columbus is generally flat and gently rolling in some spots.

Columbus has the states largest Asian population and most diverse Hispanic. Not to mention African. These days Columbus is as if not becoming more than the other three cs.

I think people in these boards put more emphasis on criteria that perhaps a limited demographic..i.e. Hipsters or lumbersexuals would rate as important..but I would say having experienced all 3 cities..Columbus has clearly moved to the top...doesnt mean the other cities aren't awesome.i think they're all top shelf

I like Columbus the best. I like their diverse economy and being home to The Ohio St University the second largest university in the country.

About as clear as the Scioto River after a week of thunderstorms.

Here's what Cleveland has over Columbus: 1) Lake Erie; 2) MLB; 3) NFL; 4) NBA; 5) significant rail transit system; 6) one of world's best orchestras; 7) nation's most beautiful concert hall; 8) PlayhouseSquare, one of the nation's best theater complexes/districts; 9) Case Western, the top-rated national university in Ohio by U.S. News & World Report; 10) one of the nation's best art museums; 11) Holden Arboretum, one of the largest and best in the U.S.; 12) a national park within 30 miles; 13) Blossom Music Center, likely the top classical music summer venue in the U.S., but also a significant venue for all types of music; 14) the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, an international tourist attraction; 15) two top-notch museum ships in the U.S.S. Cod and Steamship Mather; 16) the West Side Market, far larger and more impressive than North Market; 17) world-renown and top-ranked Cleveland Clinic; 18) best convention center in Ohio; 19) Global Center for Health Innovation; 20) arguably, a much more robust foodie scene; 21) for those who like winter sports, toboggan chutes, outdoor skating, cross country skiing, even downhill skiing and tube parks within the immediate metropolitan area; 22) highly-ranked music (Cleveland Institute of Music; Oberlin Conservatory) and art (Cleveland Institute of Art) schools; 23) highly ranked theater companies in the Cleveland Play House and Great Lakes Theater; 24) downtown corporate airport (Cleveland National Air Show); 25) Cedar Point within one hour of downtown; 26) Pro Football Hall of Fame one hour from downtown; 27) Lake Metroparks Farmpark, 30 minutes from downtown, a highly-ranked farm park in N. America by USA Today several years ago; 28) more city core retail with Tower City; 29) a very good natural history museum; 30) a very good local history museum inclusive of the Crawford Auto and Aviation Museum; 31) Red Line rail rapid connects Cleveland Hopkins airport, the Market District, Tower City downtown and University Circle (and soon Little Italy); 32) Waterfront rail rapid connects Tower City, East Flats entertainment district, First Energy Stadium (NFL), Great Lakes Science Center and Rock Hall; 33) the 24/7 Healthline bus rapid, with articulated, walk-on, walk-off, subway-like cars, also connects Tower City/Public Square, PlayhouseSquare, Cleveland State University, Cleveland Clinic and University Circle; 33) enclosed pedestrian walkway connects Quicken Loans Arena and Progressive Field (MLB) with Tower City; 34) downtown casino is connected to Tower City (visitors don't have to go outside to visit form airport, or from large Tower City hotels); 35) Key Tower is the tallest building in Ohio, and three of the four tallest buildings in Ohio flank Public Square; the Terminal Tower observation deck is the highest in Ohio atop one of the most historic skyscrapers in the world (for several decades the tallest in the world outside of NYC).

The above list is not ranked in order of impressiveness, which is obvious as I forgot about the natural history museum and tacked it onto the end.

Frankly, anybody who claims they have "experienced" all three cities and then ranks Columbus higher than either Cleveland or Cincinnati has had very limited experiences IMO.

I didn't discuss the zoos and metro parks because these are a wash IMO, despite differing perceptions in both cities. The general perception is that Cleveland has the best metroparks and Columbus has the best zoo.

E.g., the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo has a world-class African elephants (only smaller Asian elephants in Columbus) exhibit, top Rainforest exhibit, and one of the largest collections of primates. Both cities have great bike trails, but I might give Columbus an edge here for the short-term, but the Towpath Trail in Greater Cleveland is a gem, and will be enhanced once directly linked to Lake Erie paths.

Ohio has four great zoos, with Toledo moving up greatly with the upcoming completion of its aquarium renovation/expansion, which will be the second largest U.S. aquarium in the Great Lakes region after the Shedd in Chicago and the largest in Ohio (the Newport Aquarium is in Kentucky).

I do like North Market's upstairs seating area in Columbus. The West Side Market only has a seating balcony, but is considering a much larger second floor seating area. There is a nice outdoor park across from the West Side Market with tables for eating. The Market District surrounding the West Side Market has appeared regularly on national lists of food neighborhoods and beer districts. The Cleveland Hostel one block away from the WSM is highly reviewed, and has a Red Line rail station within one block; the WSM is across the street from the WSM.

With Easton Town Center, I would give the edge to Columbus as a retail destination, but the combination of Beachwood Mall and nearby Legacy Village are a northern Ohio upscale shopping mecca.

I'll try to be good too. I've lambasted Columbus a time or two and won't again. There are parts of it that I admire and I wish nothing but the best for it.

Well, that lasted less than a week.
