Default Moving back to Ohio from WV

Hi! I'm Andrea and I'm new to this forum....just found it actually looking for places to rent in Ohio.

Me and my hubby are originally from Mansfield but are living in Wheeling, WV right now....and just moved here from North Carolina about 6 months ago. We are looking to move back to Ohio but NOT to Mansfield.

We live about 2.5 hrs from the Mansfield area and for the past few weeks have been taking time when I am not working to drive around and look for places to rent around there. We're thinking about the Lexington area but are still open to other places......here is what we are looking for:

A place sort of Mid-Mansfield/Columbus.....country setting......but still close to city life. Somewhere with good schools (why we are thinking about Lex.)...even though our son wont be attending school for a bit (he is almost 2.)

We've done A LOT of driving and havent really found much in the way of renting and we aren't looking to buy right now.

So, if anyone could chime in here on awesome places to look and/or if you've seen any places to rent, it'd be great to get a heads up so we can actually get moving on this.

Oh, I've emailed several realtors asking for help in looking for rentals but, no one really wants to help us since we arent looking to fork over thousands and thousands of dollars to buy.

Mount Gilead is a nice, quiet little town. Very beautiful. About 25 miles South of Mansfield, 40 North of Columbus. Mt. Gilead State Park is just on the edge of town, is very pretty. Very quiet little town, very clean and prosperous looking. Rolling hills still, not the interminable flatness that starts just West of there.

What is your reason for not staying around Wheeling? That area seems very pleasant, but I have only visited. US 250 from Wheeling to near Mansfield is a beautiful drive!
