Default sick of columbus looking to move but where?

I have lived in this city for all my 27 year of my life and sick of the place to many bad memories... look for a place to buy low cost house get a good job and settle down.. just has to be when a one gas tank car drive from portsmouth ohio "ex move there with my 3 year old little girl after our break up"

louisville ky
or
Indianapolis ind

what your take out there?

Indianapolis has a low cost of living and they might be jobs out that way, but hard to say. I've never lived there and the only friends who were there have long since moved on. The biggest physical difference between IN and KY is the layout of the land, but I haven't compared them myself for prospects to move to.

IMO.. I'd be looking for a city that offers a diverse industry base. I would also not be buying a house quite yet... just in case you have to pick up and move again because of employment or you don't like the area. We've yet to see the bottom fall out of the real estate market.

years, then Indy...both similar cities, both lacking jobs. But if you have a job in Columbus, I would stay there, it's a great city. Your economic status counts for far more than the superficialities of any place.
