That's great! It really is a great place to live! Wooster's just next door to the country anyways, so at least you won't be too far! Good luck!

Wooster definitly. Have you looked at Ashland also? Its between Mansfield and Wooster it's super pretty and there are some nice neighborhoods. I would avoid living near the college tho. Mansfield is in Richland County...the heroine capital of Ohio. They did a whole thing on it on tv!

When we left the Rest Area Inn (just NW of Wooster on I-71) yesterday morning we had to drive near Ashland to get back to Wooster; it's very open & scenic over there.

NOTE: The Rest Area Inn only had a few vacancies left that night.

I was born and raised in Mansfield but now live in Columbus. I'd hate to bash my hometown but I'd have to suggest Wooster of the two.
Mansfield recently learned that the GM plant is shutting its doors in June '10 and the area is already feeling the effects of it. The safety forces are making severe cutbacks, the school district has been in shambles for the past few years (the State has threatened to take over), and property values are falling FAST!
Mansfield was a booming manufacturing town 20-30 years ago with Westinghouse, Tappan, and Ohio Brass but they've all left. Instead of offering an incentive package, the mayor at the time decided to attract visitors by building a carousel instead. Hence the saying, "Would the last person leaving Mansfield please turn off the carousel?"

Wooster has a lot of activity going on, is close to Amish country, as well as canoeing, camping, and many other recreational activities.
