Default Living in Logan OH?

Can anyone tell me what Logan is like? From what I have found about it on the internet it sounds like a nice town. I've never been there but am wondering if they have good schools, nice neighborhoods and people, is it a safe community etc...
Anyone have any inside info to help me out please? Thanks so much.

We just moved to Logan in the spring, and we really enjoy it. We reside out of town so to speak, but do have neighbors. The school system Logan Hocking is excellent. All of the school buildings are brand new! In town itself you won't find your traditional neighborhoods it is a town. If you are requiring a rental you will usually find many available in the local paper Logan daily News. Logan is a safe area and I have heard of little crime. Most all of your shopping can be done in town, but if you wish to find a job you will most likely need to travel. The community usually has something going on every weekend being so close to Hocking HIlls. We are a sports community, and have nice youth sports programs including all sports such as baseball, softball, football, soccer, basketball, and the very popular wrestling. I really look at Logan as a nice quiet town that is big enough to serve while remaining small enough to enjoy. If you have any other questions ask away or dm me.

Well I guess in my opinion I would consider the School district, and town mid-size. I don't consider Logan a small town. It has grown quite a bit over the years. To me it has the feel of a large suburb. Depending on where at in Columbus you will be driving to I can usually reach 270 in 35-40 minutes. My wife works in Dublin and it takes her 50 minutes to reach her destination. After construction of the by-pass the area has seen a spike in population, with rising values. . Like I said I find it very seldom that I need to leave town to purchase anything. We even have our own hospital. I was very surprised with the quality of the school system here. I think it is very underated.

Default Grew up in Logan

Well I grew up in Logan and it was a nice place to grow up. I didn't think there was much to do, but that was before all the growth (heck that was before there was a middle school). I think the school system prepared me very well for college and people are really nice (for the most part). When I visit now, I am sad for the downtown, it seems like the Walmart Complex has sucked the life out of the downtown. I still enjoy going to Pizza Crossing when I visit though!

It is a slower pace of life and just a stone's throw from Athens, Lancaster, and Columbus. Plus, living in the Hocking Hills is just beautiful!

Just saw the teardown photos of the High School...sad, but probably time.

I think if you move there, you will like it.

The new school replacing the old H/S is almost complete. Next time I am over that way I will snap a new photo and dm it to you. Downtown is coming back with an array of new shops. Funny you mentioned pizza crossing because we just got back from chowing down on perhaps the best pizza in the state!!
