Perrysburg Ohio
Hi, I know I have ask about flooding before, but someone has told me that Maumee floods some, but Perrysburg does not. Now I have looked at the map and Perrysburg is just across the river from Maumee. So, what I am wondering is: if the one floods wouldn't the other? Does anyone know how bad the flooding is in that area?
Plus, what is everyone's opinion on Perrysburg?

If you drive along the river on the Maumee side, most of it is fairly close to the river level. On the Perrysburg side, the road and thus the buildings are generally at a much higher lever, more overlooking the river, and thus less likely to flood.

Perrysburg Flooding
Have lived in Perrysburg for just one year. House has flooded 5 times in 8 months, ready to abandon ship, excuse the pun...
City does nothing to address the issue, you risk loosing everything.
Suggest you move to higher ground, like Denver.....

There is a difference though between river flooding and sewer flooding.

That has got to suck but honestly what would you expect the city to do? Do you live on or near the floodplain? Rivers flood. It is what they naturally do.

Moved here one year ago from Colorado and yes both sides of the river flood, In fact the entire area is a swampland or at least once was. The building in the area over the years has stripped away the natural flood plains that once existed and so flooding among other things is a real problem. The water has to go somewhere. Mold, severe allergies that were not an issue prior to moving to the state are now a real problem for my children and husband and the fact that the sun seldom shines here should be a reason enough to avoid the area altogether, unless you are accustomed to spending most of your time indoors and taking vitamin D supplements. Miss my 344 days of sunshine per year that I had in Colorado and my active lifestyle with tons of outdoor activities more than anything, it is cold and balmy here even in the summer, no good places to shop and regardless of the hype there are very few good places to eat in Perrysburg or surrounding areas. The area is in serious need of revitalization.
