We're the 7th most populous state in the nation and the 43rd smallest, hell yes we need and can support the 3C corridor.

I support the 3-C Corridor line; but if I still lived in the Sandusky area (where I'm originally from), I would never ride it.

Why?!

(1) It's out of the way. I would have to drive 45 miles to Hopkins Airport or 45 miles to Galion for the nearest stop.

(2) It's not a big deal driving 45-50 minutes to get to downtown Cleveland

(3) It's rare for me to go to Columbus (maybe 6 or 7 times total, and half of those C-bus wasn't the destination)

(4) There's no need for me to go to Cincy.....I've been through there only once.

It's a great corridor, don't get me wrong; I totally support the project.

Now the high speed line that would potentially connect Chicago to New York, (with a stop in Sandtown), sign me up!

^^^

I would think they would eventually add a stop in Sandusky. Cedar Point alone would draw a lot of people to use it. Plus if the rail line is going from Cleveland to Toledo it should go right through Sandusky and it's a midpoint so that would be a good place for a stop.

After skimming though the report, I like what I see.

Hopefully this can happen.

Also, 6 times a days in Cleveland and 8 trains through Columbus does not sound bad at all!

Not to mention, there are 6,000,000 people plus who live within 20-30 miles of the proposed major stops in Cleveland. Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati...and the railroad lines already exists.

We would be crazy not to go ahead and set this up.

^Yep, I'm referring to that.

Anyways, I posted that because there has been some worrying on Urban Ohio about the issue, and I thought it may be a serious threat. Glad to see that it isn't

Threat to the 3C corridor? No, this is a city issue, not a state vote! The majority of the anti-rail idiots don't reside in the city, therefore can't vote for issue 9. If for some ungodly reason, issue 9 passed, the city would have to vote on rail, if then for some ungodly reason the city voted down the 3C corridor, then the stop would be more than likely right outside city limits.

You're better off buying a mega millions ticket and quitting your job in hopes of winning.
