Hello, my family and I relocated to Ohio in 2006 we ended up in the Hamilton Township Area in an apartment near the Rickenbacker airport. It has not been the easiest stay. However, we are considering finding a home in the Hamilton Township area. I have heard mixed reviews about the area. What can you tell me about this area? I know these apartments are not the greatest but have heard the Hamilton Medows area near the schools are nice. I appreciate any information you can provide.

Hello babybear101! Hamilton Township and the Obetz area is mostly comprised of working class neighborhoods. There is a wide cross-section of different people here. I've lived in this area about thirteen years. Personally I like it.
There are mixed feelings about the schools. I think that the schools sometimes get a bad reputation more due to parenting than the availability of quality education. My son has spent all of his school years at Hamilton. He has received excellent instruction and guidance over the years. Like you, I also started out at one of the two apartment complexes near Rickenbacker. Our stay at the apartments was okay, but it could have been alot better. After six years there, we bought a home nearby. I specifically wanted to stay in Hamilton Township because I liked it here and it's very close to downtown Columbus. I am thoroughly satisfied here. I like it. |
