Each segment is accompanied by a short description which helps identify and distinguish its content.
Part 1: Presented here in 9 parts is the complete, uncut, unedited 30-minute video from the September 21, 2009 Meeting of the Ohio Elder Abuse Commission that was recorded as part of a project conducted by the National Coalition of Aging (NCOA), the Elder Justice Coalition (EJC), and the international human rights group WITNESS, Inc. It records a discussion of legal reforms needed to protect Alzheimer sufferers, stroke victims and others against fraud, undue influence and negligence when signing financial/legal documents (Wills, Trusts, Deeds, POAs etc.). For additional information about this video or its content, contact tvfields@oh.rr.com

Part 3: I Respond to Part 2 by Pointing Out a Flaw in ORC 2107.081 – 2107.085. (For more detailed information about this code and its flaws, read the handout at Elder Abuse, Estate Fraud and Undue Influence (White House Conference on Aging Handout) or contact tvfields@oh.rr.com)
Part 4: The Commission’s Chair Addresses the Conflict Inherent in Parts 2 and 3
Part 5: Continued Discussion of the Loophole in ORC 2107.081 – 2107.085
Part 6: I Relate the Need for Legal Reforms to My Own Experience. (See the transcript of the sworn testimony of the doctor who resuscitated my father that is reproduced online in its entirety, beginning at Elder Abuse, Estate Fraud and Undue Influence (Dr. Steinmetz's Deposition). See too the additional material, including more evidence, that is linked online to Infirmed Seniors, Elder Abuse, Estate Fraud, and Legal Reform (Directory), Infirmed Seniors, Elder Abuse, Estate Fraud, and Legal Reform (ILF Estate) and Infirmed Seniors, Elder Abuse, Estate Fraud, and Legal Reform (Directory))
Part 7: Videographer Questions Whether Fraud and Undue Influence Exercised During the Creation of a Will Constitutes Elder Abuse

Part 9: Judge Swift’s Answer to Question Posed in Part 8 and My Reply to This Answer (End of Video)

The video begins midway through my brief introduction. I have been told that the first part of my introduction was not captured on video. The chair of the Commission has indicated that she intends to reproduce online, along with the Commission's minutes, the two handouts to which I referred during this introduction. So far she has reproduced only one of them. I am attaching here a packet of material which includes these handouts and also the June 2009 Clinical Geriatrics article by Drs. Ryan and Richard Hall et. al.which I also provided the Commission.

I have noticed that at least one other part of my appearance was not captured on video. I felt at the time of my appearance that this part of the video would be important, as didKen Adams (440/338-8365), who accompanied me to the meeting.

Despite the omissions noted above, Ibelieve the video makes clear the need for a protocol based upon the observations of Drs. Hall and others. What do you think?
