Default Rural vs Grandview Heights

I am considering a professional move to a rural area in the vicinity of Lancaster. Towns in the area are Bremen, Rushville and Pleasantville. However, there is an opportuntiy in Grandview Heights that is most intersting. Any thoughts or info on locating to Grandview Heights, OH?

Thanks,

Michael

Wow, you could hardly pick two areas of central Ohio that are more different from each other!

Those areas of Fairfield County you mentioned, which are kindof northeast & east of Lancaster, are all plenty rural and wonderful places to be! Or at least I should say...they're more my speed

Bremen is noted for its growing Amish population, and it's still the world HQ of Westerman Companies. Rushville and its "twin" town West Rushville are connected by a windey two-lane road just off U.S. 22; very picturesque! There are some lovely old Victorian farm houses out that way.

Grandview Heights is urban, hip, diverse, trendy, pricey, and attracts many young professionals with its bars & hangouts. As they say, if the TV show Friends were set in Columbus, they'd all live in Grandview. On the other hand, I tend to see this area as congested, confining, rude, stressful, and there's never any place to park once you get there!

From what I recall Grandview is a community of older single family homes with nice treelined streets that is very close (suprrsingly close) in to the center city area of Columbus.

So you could live in a pleasant, older suburb, but have all the amenities of urban life close at hand.
