like i said before, la doesn't have an nfl squad. and cincinnati is a corporate powerhouse. only a few cities have more fortune 500 muscle, not including 1000. i think cleveland has 2 or 3 more fortune 1000, but nat'l city might ride down 71 to fifth third soon.

Here is a better and simpler link: Largest cities in the United States by population by decade - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Also, Cleveland has more fortune 500 companies headquarters than Cincinnati does. And, Cleveland has 9 more Fortune 1000 company headquarters than Cincinnati does. Look at this link and add them up: Geography of Fortune 1000 Companies - Nevada New Jersey New Mexico New York Ohio Oklahoma Oregon |

The Wiki link looks pretty accurate and I use it a lot, but remember -it relies on users like you and me to keep it updated. On the economic side ... Cleve440 ... You seem like a cool guy and I've enjoyed our conversations in the past ... and you know that Hillside has put down Cincinnati a lot, but he is absolutely right here. Cincinnati is an economic powerhouse. Point blank. Not just because it has more F500 Co,'s than Cleveland and not because we have more metro F500 Co.'s than Cleveland, but it's what F500 Co.'s we have. We have some of the world's most profitable, revenue generating, and diversified companies in the world. |

Okay, but it seems like you didnt look at my link that I put on there.
Also, what point are you trying to make from this? This is the first time I have heard Cincinnati referred to as an "economic powerhouse". I would have never guessed that, and its not common knowledge. |

My point: Let's pretend that Cincinnati was only home to Proctor & Gamble ... that would still generate more revenue then all the F500 Co.'s in Cleveland's entire metro combined! That's huge, think about it. What does this do for the economy? How does the economy effect a city? It's population growth?

It just seems like you and some other people are just trying to say that because of this Cincinnati is better than Cleveland or something. |

Stats for what? How an economic foundation effects population?

Man, I'm not saying that at all! I've been to Cleveland and throughout the city ... I think it's a FABULOUS city! I'm right there with you guys when people bring up crime or whatever else when asking about the city or trying to put it down. Fact is: Old School cities are on the comeback! People are returning to our cities core's again! |
