If you want to see a real mess, look at the crime stats for Guthrie, OK. The town has almost as many violent crimes as the entire state.

> You never disappoint, shad. Always there for a reply to a reply. You even reply before a reply. Like all invalids, you're easy to bait.

> A professor at OU... look out Harvard! Why not go all the way... pretend to be an astronaut, or maybe even a great big robot.

> shad, I don't know what makes you so stupid, but it sure does work.

> See you in the next tax bracket. As if.

Transference of insult from inanimate object to yourself… classic case of an inferiority complex.

Since when did I transfer the insult of an inanimate object to myself? Like you said, it was all down hill and you're the chief culprit of that trend.

Perhaps you need to take some psychology courses to better understand human behavior. You don't think the resident of a city or state should take offense when you question an entire city or region's "importance?" It's not to be taken as offensive when someone pops in and asks a question intended as an insult?

Once again, some people can only feel important if they belittle others. You offer nothing of substance, so just go away or take the heat for your comments.

Synopsis,

I'm interested in knowing why some people were insulted, while others were not. People who are confident in themselves and their position in life do not take offense to a stranger's comments.

The very first respondent did not take offense. He simply posted messages and links that supported his position, that OKC was indeed a city. His posts were articulate, unilike some others who post consecutive messages, all with no point in sight.

Those with self-worth are able to step back and engage the topic, instead of taking it as an insult.
