The Lincoln is the most popular option for HSC people, along with downtown apartments like the Legacy at Arts Central, LEVEL, or Deep Deuce.

As long as you have your valid visas/passports, you shouldn't have any problems renting, especially at a place like Legacy or Lincoln. Many apartments near the OUHSC are probably used to dealing with foreigners because of international students and employees.

I don't believe you would need any special documentation. Maybe your husband's contact at the HSC could help determine that for sure or put you in contact with another international employee.

Will you have a vehicle? If not, the downtown options and the Lincoln have the best public transit access to the HSC.

Good luck with your move!

GOOD LUCK MOVING TO THE USA. You Will Find that the USA is NOT what they want the world to Think. Be careful as THERE AREN'T ANY FRIENDS IN THE USA. NONE. People here seem like they are "Nice" or "Polite" but THEY REALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYONE, but THEMSELVES.
Another Thing--DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING ANYONE TELLS YOU HERE IN THE USA. Everyone will Tell You Something Different about the same topic--And come to Find Out Yourself--They Were ALL LIES. You Have to Investigate ALL ON YOUR OWN. That What Makes Life SO GOD DAMMED DIFFICULT IN THE US. The Systems Are BROKEN--Everything is BROKEN here. EVERYONE LIES HERE--Government Office Employees--Business Office Employees--People in General EVERYONE IS A LIAR IN THE USA. No Matter what You Hear--INVESTIGATE SO YOUR SELF AND PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING AN AMERICAN TELL YOU--NO MATTER HOW "NICE" "well-informed" or "POLITE" They Sound. People in the US are just LIARS what we here call "Bull-****ters".

disgusted from cali, if thats how you feel, then don't let the door bust your ass on your way out. I don't want ass prints on my new door. LOL

nw27, welcome to america!

coming to oklahoma, be prepared for scary storms every year. get an apartment down stairs if possible, and then watch the local news when the weather turns bad.

your odds of being hit by a tornado are actually lower than it might seem, but you are moving to the epicenter of tornado alley, so its wise to take note.

people in oklahoma are friendly for the most part.

the majority tend to lean conservative and christian though so be prepared for that.

I would second this. I know several people who live at The Lincoln and it is nice and also convenient. But the downtown options also would be fine as well.

Welcome to USA and to Okla! (and ignore that one dumb post above)!
