Even if you did, OKC would still not have a 10 million population and your problems would multiply exponentially. OK is okay! Enjoy it.

Trust me, OKC doesn't want the kind of explosive boom places like Charlotte (where I live now) had in the 2000s. When there is a boom of that magnitude, it is usually followed by an equally explosive bust. Slow, smart growth is best and will be sustainable long term.

There were strong indication in the 90s in the Midwest that the good ship USS Realestate was listing badly and it was going to be expensive to to make it seaworthy again. But no one expected 40M homes to be in forecloseure or the resulting financial mess. One of the largest offshore holders of US mortgages was one of the first to go belly up.
