Yes, they (Morgan & Mitchell) do a good job. But they don't say, "It's going to rain today. How do we know? There are pigs running with sticks in their mouths."
That is pure Gary England.

Does anyone out there watch FOX 25's newscasts? Thought they looked good on my last visit to OKC several months back. They seem to have made big strides the last few years.

Yeah, I tend to channel surf a lot. Especially when kelly ogle comes on with his 2 cents worth. gawd I hate him!
I feel sorry for the ch 25 guys. They seem like community college vs Div IA football. But I love OETA for the local biography/documentary stuff. My dad was on one episode when they filmed a pow wow.

Channel 9 has the affiliation with the Oklahoman, so it's just easiest for me to watch them and it makes the most sense to me. Are the others worse? No, but I don't think they're any better either.

Just a few observations: Channels 9 and 4 have veterans who have been around a while, and 5 has gone younger in recent years. And 25 is just now trying to get their prime-time local news on the ground after sharing time with some satellite feed for a few years. And they're also just beginning their morning news. We'll see how that goes.
Speaking of which, don't forget our poll, guys. Be sure to cast your vote today!

Agreed Case: I can't help but feel I'm watching the same news my grandparents would watch when I watch channel 4. They seem to be going for the old time Okie feel a lot. They're doing a pretty good job of it to because they bore me half to death usually.

We can look on the bright side, too. Channel 4 still has the legendary Bob Barry on sports, but I think he's just doing six o'clock now. There will never be another.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way

I got a kick out of your post. Who ever asked for his "two cents"?... which is exactly all they are worth. He never has anything intelligent or important to say. I don't care much for the news on Channel 9 at all. Yes, England is a great meteorologist. I generally watch Channel 4 the most, and I have watched 5 a lot in the past. It is no compliment for Channel 9 to be hooked up with a substandard newspaper like the "Daily Oklahoman" either.

Come See Our Ogles?
Also, another observation. I can't get over seeing all of the Ogle brothers (Kelly at 9, and Kevin and Kent at 4). Can we rename this place Oglehoma City??
In all seriousness, they're all good guys and are establishing a great family tradition in local news. Wasn't Jack Ogle (late of Channel 5) their father?
