My husband has a job offer at Tinker and we will be moving there soon. But what areas should we avoid and what ones are the best? We would like an apartment for the first year we are there but will take a home also. A little about us
We are both 38
Want 2-3 bedrooms
If it is an apartment, would like one without paper thin walls (i know thats asking for a lot)
We have a 21 year old son that will be attending OCCC in the fall
Our max rent not including utilities is $1250
Please if any one can give me suggestions and point us into the right direction we would be grateful. Just be specific , like road names or neighborhoods. Since we know nothing about the area and visiting before hand is not an option.

I agree, Moore would probably be your best bet. Pretty much all of south OKC is not going to be an area you want to live in. The nicer apartments are further north OKC without easy access to Tinker and OCCC. As always, there will be a few diamonds in the rough but overall Moore will be your best overall option.

Finding a nice apartment complex in Moore that has any unit available in the next 60 days is difficult. I've been recommending Montclair Parc on Penn. Super nice, huge floorplans, convenient to Moore, Tinker, the airport and downtown. And they have garages attached to the units.
