Default Wedding Ceremony site close to downtown

I am looking for help with an Oklahoma City wedding. We need a ceremony only site that can accomidate approximatly 100 people. We had previously booked Kerr Park but recently found out that it could be under construction during our wedding. Have any ideas? Our reception is already booked as we thought the park was secure, check has cleared and everything. Any help would be great and the more character the location has the better we would like it.

Not exactly downtown but fairly close 15 minute drive tops and a great facility.

We have checked out both of those places. The myriad gardens has a contract with Shakespeare in the park over the next couple of years which means we have to be off the grounds by 5. I appreciate that thought as I really love that place it is so nice and in downtown.

Castle falls looks great but if I understand correctly from the info she has sent me you must book catering and rentals through them. Since our reception site is booked we have no need for food or drinks.

You guys are great and I appreciate your help.

Surely Shakespeare in the Park doesnt take up that much space on the calender for myriad gardens!
here is Coles garden...
Coles Garden - 9k -
Harn homestead is actually really neat. Big beautiful barn with ancient wooden floors, gardens, history...
Harn Homestead - 18k -
Three beautiful churches near downtown would be great for a wedding.
Rent out the top of the OKC museum of art. It is used for entertainment all the time. If I think of another I will post.

Thank you for the suggestions. Our wedding is in June and they require that we be off the Myriad Garden grounds by 5 pm. HArn Homestead is booked, as is Coles gardens. The Museum rooftop would be fabulous however they do not book it for private parties.

We would love to do it on a rooftop downtown, that would be the coolest place ever, IMHO.

Thank you so much for your suggestions, I am very open so if you think of any more that would be great. Another fun place I thought of would be the steps of the county courthouse... We want outside somewhere that would be fun as that would be appropriate for our personalities.

Thanks again!

There is a historic ware house with a fifth floor view of the skyline that might be a possible place for a wedding. It is empty and I am friends with the owner, of course table and chairs would have to be brought in but getting married on the 5th floor with a view would be great. Rentals on chairs archways candles area available and there are elevators to transport guests. It would be beautiful to get married up there. Let me know and I can check into it for you. This warehouse I am speaking of is on the National REgistrey of Historcial buildings and would be a great place. Especially if the sun was setting and you could get the view of the tall buildings with the sun going down. It is beautiful at that time of day as well as nightime. Good luck
You can e mail me at mrphy_stone@yahoo.com if you have any questions or want me to try and find out something

Your best bet for an outdoor wedding w/o cheese is at one of the Nichols Hills parks...I would suggest Kite park or Anderson. The largest being Kite park....NH has its own band that performs for locals every thurs during certain times of the year in the gazebo. You would prob just need to schedule around their performances. It might even be free to use if you know someone in Nichols Hills.

Kite park in NH would be beautiful, large and probably the cheapest. Also I have seen a few weddings at some vineyards....really nice. Most of my freinds are finally succombing to the ball and chain. Thats prob why I know so many locations!!! Good luck

I am so interested in the warehouse! That would be awesome!!! Nichols Hills, I never thought about that, I am always just so amazed with the houses and have never paid any attention to the parks. My boss and his son both have houses over there ... I will have to call and check that out.

Anyone know anything about the First National Center downtown? I know they at one time rented the second floor out for such events but I can not find any contact info.

Thank you all sooooo much!
