Actually I am doing some research to see where I will be taking my children. I have a few ideas for you....
If you don't mind spending a few bucks you can take your kiddos to Haunt the Zoo at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Cover for the kids is $6 at the gates. Also The Orr Family Farm is having something on the night of Halloween. Its $6.50 per child and the kids get to do all kinds of fun stuff. The website is Orr Family Farm: Family Agr-Tainment in Oklahoma City (courtsey of Kids Directory September 2007). I hope this helps!

That is scary
So I guess I was right. This city is so lame in the scare department that OU football is gonna be the scariest activity for my friends and I to do on Halloween.
If you guys come up with anything better, please let me know. I'm desperate.

Since Halloween is really designed for children....Most public events during Halloween in OKC are going to cater to the younger crowd. The "Adult" scary entertainment that you would most likely enjoy is the link below. Its pretty scary. In most cases adults usually have a party or something in OKC....I have heard of some country farms that have doberman pinschers that chase you around the woods in the dark (sorry....no link for that one)...Or you can try to trick or treat on the eastside of 23rd street past the capital complex.lol.

You are too funny Happytown.
Trick or treat on the eastside. Wear a hood made of a sheet and wave a Confederate Flag and yell racist stuff. Scary enough for anyone. Go to a biker bar dressed like an English teacher and knock over their motorcycles. That should be even more scary! Have a few drinks, pour liquor on your clothes, then go out and run into a police car. That should be the most scary!

Wow! These are some great ideas!! I too have heard that the Storybook Festival by Aracadia Lake is great! I'm thinking about taking my little son to it!
Happytown, you have some great ideas. I'm new to this site and I noticed you have a lot of great input on the different threads. Thanks for all the ideas to this post as well!

Oh, I love it!!!! SEE~Peggy and I are from the generation where you had to come up with innovative ideas to have your own fun.
I hesitate sharing this, BUT~when my DH was younger, he and his bros were always tormented by one of their old neighbor ladies. Yup, they put some cow pies in a paper bag, set it on her steps, lit it and knocked on her door. As awful as it is, we still laugh about that one.

We were mostly into eggs, and I noticed last Halloween the idea is still around. Our car was egged and we gave out treats! Well, egg washes off so no harm done.
