Smile Halloween in Oklahoma City

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone had some recommendations for Halloween activities for a young toddler on the 31st of October. I am relocating to Ga in a few weeks from Ca, and will be traveling thru Oklahoma City on the 31st. I am looking for something safe for a young 3 year old to participate in and be safe while doing so.

I think it depends on the neighborhood. Overall, that's not done as much anymore because there are so many freaks out there. In our neighborhood here in Texas they will be out and about one Halloween, and then the next you won't even have one trick or treater. I personally love it. I plan to dress up my yard with all kinds of "scary" stuff this Halloween.

We participate in the downtown merchants Halloween in Holdenville. It is really a lot of fun, and really better in case of bad weather for the kids and parents. Last year we had about 1000 trick or treaters. That was enough to make me break a sweat at the end of October.

Won't it be nice when it's Halloween? Fall is not far away!

Haunt the Zoo for Halloween
The Oklahoma City Zoo hosts their annual Halloween event that typically features several days of trick-or-treating for the kids. The 2005 version set attendance records and was one of the top places in the metro for parents to bring their children for safe Halloween fun. Admission cost is $6 per child, but accompanying adults 18 and over are admitted free.

Fright Fest at Frontier City
It's 12 nights of Halloween celebration at Frontier City. Called "family by day and fright by night" by organizers, Fright Fest features costumed ghouls and monsters, a trick-or-treat trail for the kids and a great haunted house for the older ones. Admission to all Fright Fest activities is free with park admission.

Bricktown's Haunted Warehouse
For more than 20 years, the Haunted Warehouse has been scaring the daylights out of people. With three stories of horrors lasting about 20 minutes, the Haunted Warehouse is located at 101 E. California. You can check it out from October 7th-9th and the 14th-Halloween. Admission is $10 for the Haunted House, $10 for a Haunted Ride or $17 for both.

Spooktacular at the Omniplex Science Museum
From the 26th through Halloween, the Omniplex presents Spooktacular, a fun and educational event designed for elementary through middle school-aged children. There is spooky science and Halloween treats along with plenty of great activities.

Creepy Conservatory at the Myriad Botanical Gardens
Snakes, spiders and creepy crawlers... This isn't your typical ghosts and ghouls Halloween event. Instead, you and your family can be freaked out by the real thing. Held on October 28th from 1-4pm, the Creepy Conservatory is a unique Halloween experience.

Haunt the Harn on Halloween Night
At the historical Harn Homestead Museum, family members of all ages can have a great time on Halloween Night from 5-8pm. There will be hay rides, games, bobbing for apples, marshmallow roasting by the fire, crafts, trick-or-treating and more.
