Sounds like the area around Top Golf won't be attracting high end residential buyers. Who wants to pay 350k+ and live half a mile from a gang infested ghetto?

It's no different than anywhere else in Oklahoma City. There are $450k homes closer to the problem complexes than TopGolf is.

There are far more areas in OKC considered safe than unsafe. The majority do not live in fear for their life and do not expect to be shot whenever they step outside their door. Based only on what you wrote in your post, I notice the dire warnings people have noted are nowhere near any address in your post. I'll say avoid the NE area addresses you mentioned. The listings in NW are your best bet, imo. Sometimes people think they are helping by listing every ill that could possibly befall a person anywhere at anytime any place and every insect known since the beginning of time that can be seen in a locale. You already know you could be hit by a car anytime. Most of us know certain things to be cautious about.

It's not the elementary schools that have problems. It's the middle and high schools. If you are still there when time for your daughter to go to middle school, you'll know where the best ones are.

It really depends on the area. I have a friend who lives in this nice neighborhood by 23rd and Meridian and they havent had any probs in that area!! But the neighborhoods to the left and right of them are a bit creepy!

My husband and I are looking for a safe, reasonable home. We are disabled and retired so we have limited income. Currently we are paying a ridiculous amount of rent in Edmond. We have some cash to work with and there are numerous houses for sale close to the capital which seems scarey. We had to file bankruptcy about a year ago because of medical costs. We need to be close to Edmond to babysit our granddaughter. But as far as finding a place to live we're in a hard situation. Any ideas as to where to look to stay close to or in Edmond. Help!!!
