Default Choctaw

My husband and I will be relocating to the Oklahoma City area and are looking into the Choctaw as a place that we might want to settle. The schools seem to be good and it looks like you can get a little more land for your money. Anyone know anything about this area? Any reasons we should or should not consider it? Also we have been talking to a realtor at First United Realty...anyone heard of them good? bad? Any recommendations on a good real estate agent? Thanks for your help...

I lived in Harrah for a while, right next to Choctaw. Choctaw is a nice peaceful community. It does not have a real downtown area. The schools are good. It is a prettier area with more trees and not so flat. The area is quieter than some other areas of OKC.

The only bad thing I have to say is that it is not close to interstate highways for commuting, unless you will be working in the Tinker area. My commute was on NE 23 or NE 63, with the frequent stopping it took about 35 minutes to get to my job. Well, one other thing is no major shopping mall nearby, but for me that was a plus.

My family is moving to the OKC from New Jersey early next year. We've been working with a really good realtor who's been working really hard for us in searching various areas we're interested in. I'll DM you with his name and web address.
